WHYFOR logo Sample Firearm Registration Forms

Below are links to images of one of the new forms to register firearms. Remember that your firearms need not be registered before January 1, 2003. Maybe the law changes before then. Wait and see. If you would like to look at page 3 and 4 of form JUS 675 E (98/07/04) click below [pages 1,2,5-8 are instructions and definitions] .

See all the forms in PDF format at the Canadian Fireams Centre

Application to Register Non-Restricted Firearms (Long Guns) (for individuals) page 3

Application to Register Non-Restricted Firearms (Long Guns) (for individuals) page 4

Example of above form filled in by Simon Jester page 3

Example of above form filled as UNKNOWN to be safe page 4

The above examples are not to be taken as advice to fill out forms improperly, which is an offence under section 106 of the firearms act [that's what it says on the form]

Filling out the form with UNKNOWN or UNK for questions relating to the actual firearm is the only safe way to fill out the form. Otherwise you leave yourself [or verifier leaves themselves] open to prosecution if one of your entries [or verifier entries] turns out to be incorrect. See what the NFA says about registering in the July 1997 and August 1997 issues of Point Blank
